AH THE MAGIC WORDS – ELITE BLOG ACADEMY HONEST REVIEW! THAT’S ALL WE WANT RIGHT, AN HONEST REVIEW OF EBA?

News alert: Please note I actually opted not to enroll in Elite Blog Academy but do not let this put you off reading this post. This information will potentially save you $897 and I offer a sound alternative to the course which will cost you less than $10.

HOLD ON TIGHT – THIS IS MY HONEST REVIEW OF ELITE BLOG ACADEMY

As you are no doubt aware (if you are a blogger) ELITE BLOG ACADEMY is the crème of the crop when it comes to blogging courses. I sometimes wonder though whether this is everyone’s impression simply because at $897 it is by far the most expensive course on the subject of blogging.

Not too long ago in late February 2018 the ELITE BLOG ACADEMY opened up for enrollment for five days only. Because I only started taking blogging seriously last November I missed all the hoopla about it last year and was slightly taken back by the almost frenetic obsession everyone had about whether or not they should invest in the course.

If you are on any blogging mailing lists you probably also received about a million and one emails about why you should sign up for EBA right now (and if you did sign up, the lucky affiliate would have earned about $400 on every sale, possibly the reason they push so hard).

This only served to add to my panic and created a massive feeling of FOMO within my soul.

The one and only question on my mind:

Could I succeed as a blogger without the Elite Blog Academy course?

Since I started taking blogging seriously last year, I have invested more than $1000 in courses (not EBA though because no-one really talked about the course in the off-season).

So my issue wasn’t spending money BUT I DIDN’T WANT TO OPEN MY WALLET THAT WIDE IF IT WASN’T REALLY NECESSARY.

And what if the course wasn’t worth $897US to me (which is about $1000AU)? What then? I had already heard many people say that getting a refund was near impossible. Most people raved about the course but a few were brave enough to admit that it had some potholes that needed filling later on with different courses.

HERE’S THE TRUTH

With THAT many people speaking about EBA as if it is the gospel or Holy Grail I feared I was missing out on something special by not buying it.

In the lead up to the closing of EBA enrolment I spent hours and hours googling “honest reviews” and trying to ward off feelings of FOMO and avoid going crazy. In the end my final decision was to give it a miss but here’s why.

There comes a time when you need to stop accumulating courses and start taking ACTION.

Since I started my blog last year I have purchased many courses and don’t even have enough time to go through them all.

BUYING COURSES IS ONE THING – IMPLEMENTING THEIR SUGGESTED STEPS IS YET ANOTHER.

When I committed to taking ACTION in November 2017 my website started to grow in a rapid fashion. I started from a measly 1000 page views a month and quickly grew it to 20000 page views (and the numbers are still growing every month.)

And guess what? I achieved those results, without having EBA to thank for it. In fact, there are many very successful bloggers who did it WITHOUT EBA.

VERY IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER:

I should note that if I was just new to Blogging (6 months and under) I wouldn’t hesitate to buy EBA. Let me repeat that again: If I was a complete newbie I would without a doubt be embracing EBA with wide open arms.

Yes I know it’s expensive but I really think it is important to invest in your career. Plus when you are outlaying that sort of money you are committing yourself to the task and determined to make it work. You would work pretty hard and want to see some results for that kind of money, wouldn’t you?

BUT WHEN YOU ARE A COURSE JUNKIE LIKE ME

There comes a point in time when you need to stop buying courses and start taking action.

In the lead up to EBA closing its doors for 2018, I experienced serious analysis paralysis. I worried non-stop about whether if I was causing myself a disservice by not buying EBA but the truth is I’ve seen most of my results by taking action. Real action – not just reading more material about what to take action on.

Here’s the thing. You probably already know in theory what you need to do. Start up an email list. Create valuable content that provide your readers with a solution. Write and post consistently. Master Pinterest. Design beautiful pins. Offer exciting opt-in freebies etc.

All the courses I have taken have helped me immensely on my blogging journey by teaching me new stuff and offering juicy content I haven’t seen anywhere else on the web. But hey, not even one course came anywhere close to charging me $897 for the privilege. Ironic, huh?

IF YOU ARE STILL TEMPTED TO GET EBA NEXT YEAR HERE’S MY SUGGESTION

Trust me – you are going to love this alternative to paying $897 for ELITE BLOG ACADEMY!

I promise you one course will never provide you with everything you need to succeed,

But if you insist on learning from Ruth Soukup who is the creator of the Elite Blog Academy course then there is a cheap place to start before committing to her flagship course. And that is by buying her book BLOGGING FOR PROFIT WITHOUT SELLING YOUR SOUL.

* NEWS ALERT *

RUTH SOUKUP’S BOOK HOW TO BLOG FOR PROFIT WITHOUT SELLING YOUR SOUL IS AVAILABLE FOR ONLY $8.25 FROM AMAZON!

If you look at the chapters of the book they actually correspond to modules in her Elite Blog Academy course.

Chapter 2: Content Is King

Chapter 3: Presentation Is Everything

PART TWO: TRAFFIC

Chapter 4: Growing Your Platform

Chapter 5: Social Media and Viral Growth

PART THREE: PROFIT

Chapter 6: Show Me The Money

Chapter 7:Profit Through Ad Networks

Chapter 8: Profit Through Affiliate Sales

Chapter 9: Profit Through Private Advertising

Chapter 10: Profit Through Selling Your Own Products

PART FOUR: LOGISTICS

Chapter 11: Work Smarter, Not Harder

Chapter 12: From Blog To Business

Her book is AMAZING and has so many actionable steps that I envisage are the actions you will need to take when you enroll in EBA.

My suggestion to you is treat this book as if it were a course. Every time she tells you to do something in the book DO IT IN REAL LIFE!

Treat her suggestions as gold nuggets of wisdom and be grateful that you are paying less than $10 to hear it straight from the horse’s mouth.

I worked 17 years as a life coach and know full well that there is a difference between asking someone the question “what makes you happy?” and requesting that they take out a sheet of paper to write down the question.

It is a completely different thing to answer something out loud and actually get your client to write down the 10 things that make them happy and to also note 10 strategies for how they plan to achieve this happiness.

Do the same thing every time Ruth gives you a suggestion in her book! Write in your notebook and do the exercises diligently.

I’m pretty sure that’s what you would be expected to do if you paid $897 for her course because that’s where the value is – IN THE WORK YOU DO.

When I was reading BLOGGING FOR PROFIT WITHOUT SELLING YOUR SOUL I constantly highlighted important points and actions I needed to take.

My success as a blogger will come from COMPLETING THE SUGGESTED TASKS AND TAKING ACTION.

In a nutshell after studying so many courses I technically know what I needs to done – NOW I JUST NEED TO DO IT!

So if you missed out on purchasing EBA this year, please do not stress. Go and buy Ruth’s book HOW TO BLOG FOR PROFIT WITHOUT SELLING YOUR SOUL right now and treat this book as a text version of her course.

If you feel like you still want to proceed with buying the course next year, cool! Go for it – I have no doubt that you will gain plenty from EBA if that’s what you want to do (I encourage you to always follow your intuition).

But I was personally always taught WHEN IN DOUBT, DON’T so for now I am planning to succeed with the official EBA course under my belt.

Deep down you know whether you have enough information to move forward.

At some point you also need to stop being a student and become a working apprentice on this amazing journey we call blogging. With or without EBA, go out there and TAKE ACTION.
