mommy blogger hashtags

If you are looking to master Instagram with the best mommy blogger hashtags then you have come to the right place!

Here you will find 400 parenting or mommy blogger hashtags (give or take a few) that you can begin using immediately!

When it comes to increasing blog traffic via Instagram, there are two essential things you need to master.

First you will need to choose the right theme for this social platform. Secondly you will need to master the use of hashtags. Today we will be addressing the latter task but please note:

To properly utilize Instagram you need to be willing to engage with your followers and other businesses.

There is little point in posting content and then failing to respond to people when they make comments on your photos.

Social media is about being social!

In case you haven’t guessed, it goes without saying that you must have a business Instagram account allowing public posts – no private, “must confirm or add a follower first” option here.

If people comment on your posts, reply back, even if it is with a simple thank you or love heart emoji.

Reciprocate the support too if you can, with people in a similar niche as yours. Their followers may potentially notice you too!

Most important of all, think very carefully about every post you make.

Are you encouraging viewers to make that click over to your website? Always, always, note in your description something like “to find out more/read the post click the link in my bio”.

Make sure you also post images that relate to your actual business. Unless your goal is simply to build a comradery, there is little point in posting snaps of your cute dogs and what you ate for breakfast today.

Be certain that there is a purpose to each post and that each post is strategically created with view to increasing your blog traffic.

In A Nutshell:

-Keep posts purposeful and related to your niche.

-Be prepared to engage with your followers. It’s called SOCIAL media for a reason!

Now let’s talk about Instagram Hashtags

One of the best ways to encourage your target market to find you on Instagram is through the use of HASHTAGS. If you are keen to try Instagram then it’s important to know that hashtags DO MATTER.

Put simply, a hashtag is any word or phrase preceded by a hash sign (#).

While technically any word can be a hashtag when preceded by this sign, you need to find the most popular ones for your particular niche as all hashtags are searchable within Instagram.

Start by doing some research. Find out which hashtags other popular influencers in your niche are using in their Instagram posts. Jot these hashtags down – anything you think may be appropriate to your business or niche.

Your goal is to gain a list of about 50 – 100 popular hashtags that suit your style and can be used in your posts. I’ve included approximately 400 mommy blogger hashtags below so feel free to check them out and pick your favorites!

Remember when someone clicks on a particular hashtag, it will lead them straight to a feed where they can find your post so make sure you are choosing the right words!

I personally keep a list of these hashtags on my phone in the Notes app, in blocks of ten so that it is easy to copy and paste it in each Instagram post.

Please note:

Only thirty tags are permitted per post but to keep things clean I recommend writing a normal caption with the photo (with no hashtags included). Then after you have published the post, go back and add your hashtags as the first comment to the post.

This was the method I was taught by an Instagram Strategist who rapidly grew her following in the time I worked with her from 10K to 100K.

Actually I’m gobsmacked to report that her latest, most up to date number of followers is 255K- that’s over a quarter of a million people following her!

So there you go – 400 hashtags that you can use today if you are a mommy blogger hoping to tackle Instagram!

Now I know that everyone’s favorite hashtag list will be different and it should be! Make sure your hashtags are personally related to your style and niche. You may even find your list changes over time.

I recommend revisiting your hashtags often and removing anything that doesn’t seem to be working anymore. Or whenever a new hashtag captures your attention, write it down. Add it to your list!

The best way to find more hashtags is to search for any hashtag in the search bar of Instagram.

Keep an eye to see what other top or related hashtags appear below it in the drop down menu. You may note some people include emojis which are surprisingly great at capturing people’s attention.

Next, check out how many public posts are tagged with that particular hashtag. Click on the hashtag and scan the most popular posts. How many likes and comments are those posts generating?

Observe what their accounts look like and the style of their photos. It is great to have something positive and professional to aspire to.

A Word of Caution

I seriously don’t want you to get crazy obsessed with all this Instagram stuff (trust me; you wouldn’t be the first person to do so).

Instead, keep in mind the main goal of social media:

IT IS TO GET PEOPLE ONTO YOUR WEBSITE

You need to make your followers want to click on the link in your bio.

Make them interested in what you have to offer so that they have no choice but to click over to your blog.

With regards to a posting schedule, posting to Instagram five times a week is more than sufficient. You don’t need to do it more than once a day – twice a day max, only if you can’t help yourself.

There are also batching programs and software available to help you schedule it all in one hit, so you don’t have to stress over content every day.

To help you schedule posts to Instagram (because remember time is money and automated scheduling will save you so much time) I recommend:

Buffer for Instagram

Hootsuite for Instagram

Later

Meet Edgar

In Summary:

  • Pick 50-100 popular hashtags that are appropriate for your niche and that you love the best
  • Post to Instagram 5 days a week (10 posts max)
  • Utilize an Instagram scheduler to help save you time when it comes to posting.

I wish you the best of luck on your Instagram journey!
